Cube
is a funky and more spacious derivative of the March. Although sharing
the same 2430mm wheelbase, Cube seeks more interior space from every
other
dimensions, especially the 1640mm height (115mm more than March).
Length
and width also gain 35 and 10mm respectively.
However, Cube is not a mini MPV or something like that. Disappointingly, the seating layout is rather conventional by Japanese standard. The rear seats are 60/40 split, can slide back and forth to alter the ratio between rear legroom and luggage room. Otherwise there is no much flexibility. The rear seats even doesn't fold completely flat. As Cube will
appear to less
customers than the mainstream March, it is offered with only a 98hp
1.4-litre
engine. Again, this is taken from the March. The same goes for the
e-4WD
system which emploies electric motor to drive the rear wheels. Buyers
can
choose between 4-speed auto or a CVT-M6 transmission.
